The academic pathways of our Prep School program are designed to adapt to the realities of elite training and competition, while providing recognized qualifications and long-term options.
We work with accredited academic institutions whose programs are adapted to the rhythm of elite training and competition. This allows student-athletes to continue their studies while training, traveling, and competing, without losing academic continuity or future options.
Academic Pathways
Depending on age, academic background, and personal objectives, student-athletes may pursue one of the following pathways. Each option is selected to remain compatible with elite basketball training.

ONLINE MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM
Ages 11-15
This program is designed for younger student-athletes who require a flexible yet closely supervised academic environment. For minor student-athletes, Ball Academy works closely with families to ensure regular follow-up, academic monitoring, and appropriate daily structure, while gradually encouraging independence and responsibility.
Educational approach:

- Encouragement of individual interests within a structured curriculum
Learning format:
- Fully online program

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMAAND AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA
From age 16
This pathway offers a comprehensive and internationally recognized academic framework for student-athletes preparing for post-secondary education. At this age, student-athletes are progressively encouraged to manage their academic workload while benefiting from a clear structure that remains compatible with elite sport.
Educational approach:

- Preparation for university-level studies
Learning format:
- Online program with interactive live classes

LANGUAGE SCHOOL PROGRAM
French or English Tracks
Designed for international student-athletes who wish to strengthen their language skills while training and competing in Switzerland. This pathway supports academic progression and cultural integration. The programs include a focus on sports and leadership.
Educational approach:
- Immersive language acquisition
- Development of oral and written communication skills
- Integration of sport-related contexts
Program structure:
- French or English language tracks
- Small-group learning to support progress and interaction
- Combination of general language instruction and sport-oriented content
UNIVERSITY PATHWAYS IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION
Post-secondary education
For student-athletes who have completed secondary education, we offer access to university-level programs focused on the sports industry. At this level, student-athletes are expected to take increasing responsibility for their studies. This transition is considered a key step toward adulthood and professional life.
Available qualifications:
- University short-course certificates in sports
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management & Administration
- Master’s degree in Sports Management & Administration
Academic focus:
- Sports governance and administration
- Leadership and organizational skills
- Strategic understanding of the sports industry


Intership Opportunities
Thanks to our location in Switzerland, student-athletes may also complement their studies with internship opportunities within the international sports ecosystem, including organizations such as the International Olympic Committee and FIBA. There are more than 80 international sports federations in the Geneva area!

Teaching Responsibility
